This is a body painting based on the Obon Festival where I have painted chrysanthemums over the body which bloom at the same time as the festival whilst incorporating a background based on artwork of the culture. The Japanese writing down the body is simply translated to 'Obon festival.'
I have also styled a wig, involving some of the models real hair, using the same colours upon the body with accessories. Felt pieces on the face appear as petals on the flowers blended with a summer eye makeup.
